I recently had a dude install an audio system in my car, and I'm just not happy with the sound. Most of it sounds fine when stationary, but as soon as there is road noise, all the high's come through and everything sounds tinny as hell. I've been trying to read up on the crossover stuff and have fiddled with it a bit and I think it sounds better, but thought I'd see if anyone can suggest exactly what I should set everything to.
My system is
Front:
Components (Kicker 44kSS6504 6 1/2")
- Freq response [Hz] = 35-21k
- HP frequency 12, 4000
- LP frequency 12, 4000
Rear: Coaxial (Kicker 44KSC6504 6 1/2")
- Freq reqsopnse = 43 - 21k
Subwoofer (Kicker 400w 43TCWRT102 10")
- freq response 25-500Hz
- Sensitivity 89 dB
Kicker AMP
PIONEER headunit
Can anyone recommend exactly where to set each filter for the front, rear and sub, and what slope -6, -12, -18 or -24 for each?
Just hate the lows don't really seem to pop through at lower volumes with road noise at 100km per hour - at low volume only the highs come through and it sounds poor
