Dslr safe to use for bass vids?

I have a Canon 7D with a 24-70 f/2.8 USM, I am curious if the mechanical actions of the camera and lens could be damaged by high spl.

The 7D shoots 60p so it would make some sweet vids, but I want to make sure it won't get damaged

Has anyone used an slr for bass vids?
