Exhaust

would you settle for a good universal exhaust? i know some guys with universal remus exhausts that were welded on instead of bolted on (cheaper)... and it realllly sounds sweet.

definately stick with a good company like remus, etc.

I may know nothing about car audio but mustangs are my specialty.

#1-They DO NOT make an SLP setup for fox body mustangs, I would have put it on mine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

#2-150 for an X-Pipe is ALOT. Visit http://www.corral.net and you will find yourself a nice new/used one shipped to your door for around $100-$120.

For examples of what exhaust sounds like on a mustang visit

have you checked your local muffler shops to see what i cost to make and install an x-pipe?

i usually bring vehicles into the shop wearing nothing but headers and drive out with 2 1/2 - 3" pipe welded how i want with flowmasters for ~$450 max. my most recent exhaust was my $450 system. i had the aluminized pipes with h-pipe and flowmasters run through the rollpan with $30 tips on each side.

YEs, I noticed that they don't make SLP for fox bodys today when I was trying to find them.lol...

Thanks for the input guys.

jegs.com they have delta flow 40s for somethin like 80 bucks thats where i got mine. but if you dont find anything on corral.net go to stangnet.com very helpful and knowledgeable people over there.

and if you want it to sound better get an H pipe, if you want it to flow better get an x pipe. difference is minimal to the normal persons hearing, but i personally prefer the sound of an H pipe.

I recently put a magnaflow on my friends 91 lx and it sounds awsome. ( and i hate mustangs to boot. I'm an LT1 man all the way) Its nice and mellow at idle but under wide open throttle it is really loud and DEEP. Much more so than a flowmaster. He did the looking around so I couldnt really tell you if it makes the most power, but that is all subjective anyway.
