I have begun a project just recently on a 1983 single cab Ford F150. Now I have done a lot of other things on it to help get for audio among other things. I have put a new battery in and will be putting a second one in for the audio system. There is also a brand new alternator and solenoid. Now it fixed my starting problems for a bit, but now I think I have to replace most of the wiring as it is starting to not want to start again. Before I start putting an audio system in I need this fixed. Any ideas on what to look for?

Yes. It's one of those fundamental truths I somehow manage to unlearn every time I figure it out.

I feel like its a bad set(Low tier set) of RCAs myself. I use Stinger Zero Noise and 4000-8000 series without any issues. Dayton makes a nice set...
