i have timed it and it takes less then 2 seconds to start up and start recording so it makes it perfect for needing to take a video at last seconds notice.
this camera is extremely easy to use, no software discs needed. it can hold up to 2 hours of HD video and easily transferable to computer by usb flip out built into camera. when plugging it into the computer for first time it installs the drivers and a very easy to use program where you can edit the video and upload to youtube directly from the control panels. it also has rechargable batteries via usb so everytime you plug it into the computer it begins charging. comes with a seude carrying pouch.
