Hello,

In terms of sound quality, wich of these 2 would be the better choice ?

Genesis profile 13's or the Rainbow Soundline SLC 230.25 NG's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Im gonna connect the speakers to a Genesis profile 4 ultra amplifier, if it makes any difference.

EDIT: had to get some product specs.

The specs for the Rainbows are:

Max W: 180 Watt

RMS: 120 Watt

Freq: 60 Hz - 25 kHz

Imp: 4 Ohm

Gev: 90 dB

Slope: 2 x 12dB / octave

Crossover Frequency: 3.800 Hz

Genesis Profile 13's:

13cm (5.25")

Recommended Amplifier Power:

20 – 80 W RMS

Sensitivity:

89dB - 1 w/1m

Freq response:

75Hz – 22Khz +/- 4dB

The amp:

Rated output per channel @ 4 Ohm (14.4V): 4 x 100 Watts

Rated output per channel @ 2 Ohm (14.4V): 4 x 200 Watts

Rated output per channel bridged @ 4 Ohm (14.4V): 2 x 400 Watts

Frequency response: 20-20KHz

THD+ noise @ rated output:

S/N (A weighted): >100dB

Input Sensitivity: .3V-5V

Maximum current draw: 50A

Dimensions (H x W x L) in mm: 38 x 217 x 450

Thanks!

Those specs are worthless in determining the right choice for you. In Europe you have a better chance to find somewhere where you can audition those and make a choice as to which sound better-you are not going to gt that from those specs. Genesis profile speakers have had no market in the US whatsoever, you likely will get very litlle if any feedback on them here.

Rainbow Soundlines are considered by many users as nice comp set for the $, easy to listen to for a daily setup.

Good sound/performance for a drop in set.

Your amplifier is fine to power any decent components speakers.

First off, seems to me you have the specs backwards. Ignore peak, stick to RMS. Neither of them is going to do great at 60hz, that is really...
