Hey guys,

I'm debating on going active. Right now I have a Alpine cda-9815 for my headunit and an orion 400.4 for my component set (Boston Pro 60). I have a single cab truck but my plan is to fiberglass up some door pods for my truck and putting 2 6.5's in each door and a tweeter. Can I keep the 400.4 and just buy a 2 channel amp for the tweeters. I know the HU is able to go active so I don't think I'll need an in line crossovers or anything, if I'm wrong what else do I need? And should I buy a 1/2 din equalizer to put in the dash or should my head units be ok?

Thanks

Eric

if you go active using the HU's internal crossover, you will be able to fully use an EQ like that. Why do you want 2 6.5's in each door ?
