Hunterw's 87 mazda b2k build *revised*

i lose roughly 5-6 db from dash to kick.depending on variables. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif used to be 9. but i think making the truck stiffer helped that. i havent tried this design for music yet. its hard to get low tuning out of this design. my port is 11in deep and i still burp at 70hz lol.i would like to do musical in this truck after she wins a few titles. eventually she will be bagged and just a nice little weekend cruiser
Werd. I might try a similar design, but with a larger sized daily box and daily friendly tuning. Obviously it would be considerably taller //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif...

My truck is just that, weekend cruiser. I'm actually contemplating selling my wheels and substage and bagging it now... then doing a system again next year. Who knows.

you try a down firing port yet?
Don't have the room with a proper 2 15's box... would be a wall really. If I head back to 2 12's maybe I'll do downfiring.

i say **** it.just bag it and do a small system //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif bags are tits

whew long day, i got the box done, resined the added pieces, ran the threaded rod back in and then got her in the truck. and secured //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

and got the other side of the truck finished primed and painted //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

just need to vacuum out the box, and get the speaker wires hooked up. ugh i forgot to seal mup where the wires run into the cab from the bed (vise versa) so ill try to seal from the outside AND seal off the box as well. hope she does ok.

does your front end have upper and lower control arms and is your drive-shaft a 1 piece or 2 piece?

what happened to 69hz?
barametric pressure?
yes lol. freq depends a myriad on the temp. and humidity. im sure in hobs it will be 71-72. the hotter it is the higher the freq. just like me....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

nG
heres a cliffnotes rundown of what has been changed since my 160.5

added 3rd amp

added more runs of 1/0 gauge (8 total now, more to come)

made the floor more solid in the ext cab(was a false floor //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif)

resined the box finally,

added another layer of wood to back of the box

added another layer to my port and finally glued and screwed it all in. (used to be just screwed in and relied more on the threaded rod to hold it in place)

added pieces to my dividers

secured the box down much much better

ran more speaker wire. never have enough lol

replaced old shitty edead ue, with the new hotness aka damplifier pro:)

painted truck. very shitty job i may add haha.

rims go on tomorrow

Have you metered it since you have done all this extra work??? Should be good for a db or two, in a perfect world four:)
