Im interested in purchasing the new Kendwood Excelon KVT-915DVD head unit for my 2003 Toyota Tacoma Extra Cab truck. The problem is, this unit, along with practically every other mobile video head unit, has a lock out feature to it. It requires that one of the wires be connected to either the parking break sensor or the automatic transmission sensor. My truck is auto... When connected, it will allow video to be seen, but only when in park. Whats the point of mobile video if I have to be parked so my passenger can watch it. Ive heard from several people that there is a way around this hassle. One method mentioned involves looping this wire around to the ground for the head unit and the truck. Is there any truth to this? Is there another method to get around this problem? This is a very expensive head-unit! I dont wanna invest if Im limited in its use... Any info would be great...... Oh yeah, any recommendations on a multi-channel amp that would power 2 front, 2 surround, and 1 sub speaker??? Thanks for any info
