kicker kx1200.1 problem

Well, I just got this fixed a month and a half ago. I sent it in to kicker. Well, when I got it back, a couple of things didn't work that used to work before. The amps fan never turned on and that little knob that adjusts the frequency didn't work as well. This was after it was repaired. Well lately, the amp has been cutting off for a couple of secs and it wasn't going into protected mode. Well today, it did it again and then it went into protection. So far, its been in protection. Does anyone know what the problem is? Would kicker fix this for me for free? I still have 30 days or so of my warranty of my last repair.

just because the fan cuts on doesnt mean that it cant overheat and go into protect. i would still send it back to kicker while you have the chance and tell them to fix what came back broken

True, but I hardly played it. But when it was cutting off, it never went into protection. It just sounded like the sub was getting disconnected and reconnected. It went into protection at the end. But I might call up kicker and ask them about this.

edit: my voltage goes down to 11.9, would that do anything?

Over time the 11.9 drops can start to wear down on the amp. I would recommend doing the BIG 3 if you haven't yet.

And 11.9 and under can cause the amp to cut out.

Oh, my amp has been cutting out lately. Maybe that was the problem? I'm about to the do big 3.

Is this a blue or blue/white wire from the Kenwood? The ACC wire is red and although that should turn on the amp, it is not the prefered wiring...

low level when using RCAs so that knob should be pushed out. The crossover turn it all the way right and use the one on the head unit and set it...
