to me l5 are very similar to comp vrs except square, so they are louder

l7 is better bet for boomin around

but i think the l5 sounds better sq wise

i wouldnt give an l7 more then 1000rms if u want it to last,, thas just my thought,

i have 2 kicker l5s 12" bnib awaiting to hook them up and im throwing around 700-800 rms to them unless i decide to trade the subs
