I am trying to set gains on my lc7i but all i am getting is mV readings with 2 dmm...tried auto mode and selecting modes, what am i doing wrong?
Do you have the DMM set to AC volts?I am trying to set gains on my lc7i but all i am getting is mV readings with 2 dmm...tried auto mode and selecting modes, what am i doing wrong?
Was your radio at 75% volume? The reason for 75% is that most radios start distorting after that, the better ones can go 100% with no distortion. You have to play a 1000Hz tone when setting this gain.Even tried a second dmm
AC voltsI select V~ and using auto it shows mV and when I select the range it shows nothing readable like a normal voltage 1.0-8.5 out of the LC7i.
Try using other RCA cables. Also make sure the correct output is selected on the headunit.I select V~ and using auto it shows mV and when I select the range it shows nothing readable like a normal voltage 1.0-8.5 out of the LC7i.
Try this other test; get a 3.5mm headphone repair cable and connect it to the LC7i input. Connect that to your phone and measure. This will tell us if the issue is the LC7i or the HK signal.I even cut up an RCA cable and soldered it to an extra set of DMM leads I had laying around so that it would be easy peasy.
