Question and free bump!

I have an IS 300 and feel that the radio reception is not that great at times (compared to previous cars I've driven - bmw 325 and audi a4) and was wondering if that's because of the antenna, or my car or what?

And if there's an inexpensive way to boost the reception (like wrapping aluminium wire around it

If all it is is an RF preamp and antenna, those aren't too hard to find, but it might be tough to find something that looks factory.
