LPF Help - can't turn off amp or headunit LPF

Hey guys,

I have a JVC KD-R730BT head unit and a Hifonics BRZ1200.1D. I have my head unit LPF settings (55,85,120) with no off setting, and my amp's LPF settings (I believe 50-210) with no off setting. Anyway, I want the sub to roll off around 80-100Hz, but I have a filter coming from both sources. I've heard this can be bad. Is this true? If so, I'll just put my sub on the "rear" channel, since the only sub specific settings on the head unit are volume and LPF, and I have a volume knob from the amp.

Just turn the lpf on the amp all the way up. The Hu will do the work, so set it at 80.

depends on what crossover you want to use. just have one as high as it will go and use the other one.
