Mb quart formula series amps

I would step up to the Onyx or reference or q series. I have 125 w. Rms feeding mine and they handle it just fine. Just make sure you tune the amp right. When I get home I can look on sonic and tell you which amp would be better. I love my morels, make sure you deaden the door and put a deflex pad or similar behind it also for best performance. I run my eq flat on them and it sounds great.

the form and onx are not cea if that matters... they are about 5% under what they are rated at... the ref and Q ARE cea rated and do quite a bit over the rated and have superior x-overs... the Q can also be ran active....

Also, does x overs on the amp mean I don't need the crossover that comes with the morels? This is my first comp set that's why I ask

And I decided im gonna go with the q4.150

CEA doesn't mean much anymore considering it's rated so high anyways. You have any proof that the onyx doesn't do rated?

because you are new to this i would recomend running the crosover that comes with the morels, and maybe later run active. But yes you could run active with the crossover in the amp instead of the passive crossover that comes with it. Also with that 150 per channel you should be able to turn that gain down quite a bit and your amp should run nice and cool.

Alt isnt in yet but neither is the system, I'm going with a 250 amp dc power alt. If I go passive then how do I hook up te supplied crossover? Seems active would be easier afterall?

Active is not easy for the beginer and it is very easy to blow your equipment if you don't know what you are doing. The instuctions are included with the morels, and it is very easy to install the passive crossovers.

I have this 4 channel MB Quart Amp that I want to sell$150 shipped

MB Quart PAB-4100 (pab4100) Premium Series 4-Channel Amplifier

It is currently in my car powering the front stage on 2 channels and bridged on the other 2 powering a 10" sub
I always loved those **** looking *******. not bad price shipped either. If I had the money I would get it from you, but I gotta wait till tax time for my upgrades
