I have a Clarion Max675VDII HU that doesnt have a sub out on it. To get around this problen i installed a Clarion 360 (3 way X-Over). The thing is kinda old and beat to hell so i need to replace it (I payed $20 for it at a pawn shop...) Im looking for a replacement that is (preferably) 4 way. Any recomendations?

I am also running a 10" Image Dynamic IDQ V2 in a .77 sealed enclosure. Its OK.. But i want something that will play deeper notes better. I have played with polyfill in the box and couldnt get what i was looking for. So maybe a new sub will do the trick?? Any recomendations?

Thanks.

J.

You might want to consider a ported enclosure for the IDQ before dumping a ton of money for another sub. If you have room, 1.2 cubes tuned to 30hz should give you improved low end extension without compromising sound quality. My IDQv2 12 had very weak low end extension sealed and going ported really helped without sacrificing any sound quality. The response was much flatter in the ported enclosure than it was in the sealed enclosure.

I dont really have the room to do a ported enclosure in my truck. Im looking at the Arc Audio IDX and XEQ to EQ and cross over everything before it gets to the amps. If i cant get it to sound better after cross over and EQ, i will look into replacing the sub.
