ok right now i have a set of cadence cvl-5k components, there rated at 150 watts rms, i need an amp to run them, but here is the deal, im only keeping this vehicle for the summer, and in my new vehicle im putting a set of ID XS-65 components in and eric from ID tells me giving them 250 watts each will really liven then up, so i want to buy an amp right now that will do 250x2 @ 4ohms to run my candence components for the summer (being gentle on the gain) and then use the amp in my new vehicle to power my ID components.

Any suggestions on an amp that will fill my needs? my budget is around 200-250.

would the cadence components get loud enough off 125 watts though? i know the ID components will get loud off that much power, but the cadence comps have 3 inch voice coils and take alot of power to liven them up

anyone have experience with the cvl-5k components? how much power are you guys giving yours? i ve been looking at the MB quart dsc4125 but i need to know if 125 watts will be enough to fully power those speakers, and i would still like my rear fill so i kinda need a 4 channel

bump

i really need to know if that amp will be enough power to get those speakers loud, i got my check friday and am waiting on an answer so i can order //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The EXL-400.4 would be a nice choice too. CERWIN VEGA EXL-400.4 EXL400.4 400W 4 CH AMPLIFIER NEW AMP
I'd probably bridge it for the components and run the rear fill on head unit power...
no offence but that amp wouldnt work for me, not enough power as i need a 4 channel amp that will do the power i want on all 4 channels, im assuming your suggesting i bridge that amp for 200x2? wont really work

basically i already have my mind set on getting the MB quart dsc4125, i have been wanting that amp for a while, i just want to make sure it will get my components significantly louder then they are right now( there running off 60 watts)

Bridging the amp for those Cadence's would be perfect. 200 watts per side would definitely get them moving.

If you don't want the amp that's fine, but it is a very nice piece of equipment for a hell of a price. It was actually designed by Robert Zeff. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

I'd also like to point out that I said "I'd probably bridge it for the components and run the rear fill on head unit power"...

ahh sorry man, clicked the link and read no further, that is a possibility also, but id rather have amped rear fill, personal preference i guess, plus im sure my passengers would appreciate it also

If your components are installed properly and being powered cleanly, the people in the back seats should hear them just fine....unless your vehicle has a ridiculous amount of bass.

nah i dont have a ridiculous amount of bass, just an AQ sdc 15 on 500 watts, but even that drowns out my components. i cant even listen to my system without rear fill because it just does not get loud enough,
