Hey there, I have gone through the threads, and I have seen the questions constantly, what alarm do I get, and none of them helped me whatsoever, as people are always looking for different options and such. Mabye in time we can have a sticky thread about what car alarm to get for what purpose and budget.
Well here It goes, I have a 1994 Dodge Ram 2500 Reg. Cab. Reg. Box Automatic and want to protect my truck from scratches as I just got it painted and want to prevent it from anything inside, along with the whole truck getting stolen, I have plans for an immobilizer for around $20 but that doesnt stop someone from stealing my equipment. What I need is a basic alarm that will go off if any of the glass breaks or the truck is rubbed up against and such. Also mabye something along the lines of a warning when someone get close to the vehicle. The alarm does not need a seperate siren as long as it blows my horns (139db freeway blasters) It will be okay. As for the remote start, I need something that will wait for my grid heaters to warm up before it starts the engine, (grid heaters warm up the incoming air for the engine on cold starts). I also want something that would send my remote off buzzing or something like that to tell me when my alarm is going off that is important. Any ideas would be helpful, like I said, I dont want a bunch of other stuff I dont need as I am hooking this alarm up myself, so the more stuff, the more complicated. Thanks
