if you are going active, then no crossover needed. if you are going passive then, you will need a crossover. Is the crystal set a 2-way set? if you are going 3 way you will need to account for that. if the crystal set was 3 way though, then use their crossover

any of the 6+ drivers will do quite well but you will need to make pods to make them work best. And they do love power. I like them alot but definitely needs to be in a 3way setup and I prefer to have them run active so you can adjust the slopes and crossover point on them to your liking. Pm me though adio about it.

Extremis if you can fit the 4" depth.

Megalomaniac has a pair right now for sale I believe.

Jntar had them in his truck and they sounded soo **** nice.

If it wasn't for the depth they would already be in my car.

Also, if your running active, consider using 2 mids per door. The problem is in a car enviornment you need a lot more bass to overcome road and car noise, and car doors make terrible speaker cabinets.

Even a single 10" sub can really warm up your sound and take a lot of pressure off your main speakers.

Depending on the driver, you don't need 2. For example, you don't need 2 M6+'s in a door. A single one is already pretty ridiculous. More midbass than any other driver I've personally used and it'll drop low.

In the Accord I have, there is an 8" sub glassed into each front door. I did not want a huge box in the trunk. It really sounds good with music that has nothing below 28-30 Hz (which is pretty much most music).

daam!!! y'all really like me!!!!!!!!! so many responses.

the best i can do is seal up the doors (again) and just keep a regular comp set. i have the diamond 400.4 but was thinking of a profile AP1200. i really would like a high powered 2 channeled amp, that is very low is price but puts out good power

The Kappa's have a high sensitivity rating of 93 db so the X802-5 would be fine. A good high sensitivity 8" sub in a properly sized box would fit...
