If it was me (and could afford it) I'd throw 5k at a pair, wire low (.5) and build something like this...

Wow. I swear these newbs are getting stupider day by day. I've never seen an HCCA sealed...always port. And no need for adjustable port.....in a wood box lmao. Like what else could boxes be made out of besides plexi, which is very expensive.

Don't need to nor want to. But I can almost guarantee it'll sound better ported than*cough* sealed.

Why anyone in their right mind would take a high dollar sub and seal it is beyond me.

The Kappa's have a high sensitivity rating of 93 db so the X802-5 would be fine. A good high sensitivity 8" sub in a properly sized box would fit...
