Hi guys, my first post.

I just bought a new JVC KWR910BT. It fit the same harness as before, which worked fine on the last unit so it should be wired OK with no shorts.

It worked well for 5 minutes. Then it started flashing. I figured it's demo mode, and followed instructions in the manual: hold down menu until it says demo then turn the volume. I hold it down for 10 seconds or more, it doesn't show "menu" just keeps flashing. I tried holding down other buttons, same deal.

Here's the thing, I suspect it's not demo mode as it is completely flashing on and off, like someone is removing the power every second then putting it on again. Like you can't even read the display as it's on and off every second.

Could it be a bad unit? Or bad wiring? If bad wiring, why isn't it flaky rather than a steady flashing?

Figured someone else has seen this? Thanks guys

Dan

Yes, the power wires' colors don't match from the dash to the new harness. However, I tested them and the wire I'm treating as the constant 12v is...
