Obsidian 12, worth getting over a SA12?

They both come from the same manufacturing plant. Odd that you've had your hands on both and have found that one is built better than the other when they are built by the same people with the same glues.

And for the OP, I would stick to 1.75 ft^3 tuned to 35 or 32 Hz (whichever you can fit comfortably).

That is wrong. I completely designed the Obsidian subwoofers from the ground up.

OP, I dont think you'll be dissappointed with the Obsidian woofer. It's a hell of a sub for its price point. Gets pretty loud, sounds great! I dont know what else you could ask for in a subwoofer for the price!

As for OA subs, they are great. I have had zero issues with mine and we put them to work anytime the truck is on. Great subs for sure.

OP, if you have contacted pro-rabbit I would definitely go with him. He has extensive experience with our Obsidian subs.
