Not in my '08 Silverado...it has an OEM fuse block where the Alternator wire connects to the fuse block such that the fuse is between the Alternator and the + battery post - other than the 175Amp fuse it is a direct connection...the starter wire connection is on the other end of the fuse block meaning that the starter is directly connected to the + post of the battery (no fuse).Question about the Alt (+) to battery (+) connection. Doesn't the stock wire from the alt (+) go to the starter & ignition then to battery (+)? Would running an additional wire directly from the alt (+) to battery (+) cause problems for the stater or ignition?
