OHMS = Bass??

So I'm at the bar last night and saw my bud that I haven't seen since I got my sub put in but he knew I was getting it and asked me how it sounded, I told him he had to hear it for himself, something I now regret. I tend to be a stat geek and usually get frustrated when someone doesn't get why I giggle when I tell them my sub has a 40mm Xmax, but I knew this guy had MTX 9500's before so he should share some of my excitement. After bar closed we all head out to my car and showed him the box and amp. Him and some bystanders walking by were impressed. I figured it was time to go boom. I popped in my Young Jeezy CD and put on White Girl, about 3 car alarms go off and I quickly attract a small crowd of drunk girls and stumbling guys trying to keep an eye on the poon they've been working on getting all night. Played it for only about 30 seconds to avoid the law, and asked him what he thought, He said it sounded **** loud for one 12, and it started to go downhill from there.. Here's how the conversation went..

Me: Yea man it's definitely louder then my old 12's

Captain Knowitall: Dude you should of gotten a W7, those are crazy

Me: Well yea those are great subs man, but this is a straight SPL Competition sub, I don't think a W7 would be louder, it would sound better though for sure

Captain: Oh for sure man, how many Ohms is your sub?

Me: Well it's dual 2-Ohm, so I'm running it at 1-Ohm to get 2000 watts out of my amp

Captain: See bro, the W7 is like 4 Ohms man, they POUND

I regretted not getting a 3k+ amp until I heard it with the 2k. I'm all good.

That's funny you said that, cuz one thing I forgot to mention is that he said "Wow that is clean, I can still hear the vocals, usually you can't hear them with so much bass"
