- UPDATED WITH PICTURES -

Hi everyone, I am a new member and I have a special offer for you. I have what might be the very last Old School Cerwin Vega Stroker 15 that is brand new in the box. This is a Stroker 15 not the D2, D4, or DVC. This Stroker 15 made history in 1996 when Bill Proud was the first to break the 160db sound barrier with this bad boy. I have sold off the last of my collection and this is the last new one that I or maybe anyone has left. After sitting in storage for more than 15 years its time to wake the monster and let him stretch his legs and breathe some fire! It's crazy to think that for the price, there probably isn't a modern sub that can compete with it for SQL at this price. The sub is in perfect new condition with spec manual, original warranty card, and box and has never had a screw in it or had power hooked up to it. The factory fabric is still covering the screw holes.

BUMP...

I think I will sum up the value proposition of this sub for the younger people on here.

These have an extremely low Qts below 0.2 and provide super tight response with tons of force so despite the SPL pedigree they were actually designed for and are best served in an SQL role. Back in the day, companies made some truly great subwoofers. High end companies had to create as much efficiency as possible because power was soo expensive, usually above $2-$3/watt. With the rise of class D amps in recent times, companies realized they could get away with cheaper ultra high excursion ****** low-efficiency subs. Unfortunately, that also eliminated most of the fidelity and accuracy of modern subs in the search for the reproduction of deep synthetic bass. A tight sounding modern sub is almost a rarity. The original Cerwin Vega Stroker is an example of the very best of the high efficiency, high fidelity subs that used to dominate the top end of the market before big power came on the scene. It is similar to something like the IDQ 15 V1. With this Stroker being a single 4ohm voicecoil (same model that was first to hit 160dbs) , it was designed to and is meant to run by itself on a single amp with low load for ultra low distortion, super clean, super tight, super deep bass that will still blast as loud as your ears can handle. History has shown that it can hold its own in an SPL drag event but truthfully it's a sub for people who actually like to LISTEN to music and have it be able to also accurately reproduce music that isn't just rap. If you put this in a ported box with 1.7 cubic net feet tuned to 28hz, you will NEVER run another sub again. I simply promise you this as it is FACT baby!!!!!

If you have it after the new year, and I have the truck sold, I may just make you an offer. I have always wanted one. And it would be a perfect addition to the car I just ordered.
