Oh lol, same here man. That's just bad business. Short of being in a coma or dead there's really no excuse. Pretty simple to atleast send an email to say you're behind, and when to expect delivery. Life happens to everyone, but just making a little itsy bitsy bit of effort goes a long way with any reasonable person.
