port size

ok...i just bought a ported closure....in the instructions it says to cut to ports to desired length..i want a lower bass comin outta the ports...do i cut them short or keep them long....??

You could try to make the port longer, but there might be other reasons with the box won't extend lower, or even the sub. You'd have to reverse...
