ported box in 93 nissan pickup, have ? about port design

Okay, I've got a 10w3v2 now for my 93 Nissan Pickup. The sub requires 1.125 ft^3 of box space if ported, then the slot port dimensions are 1.25 in x 10.5 in x 24.875 in (w*h*l). BTW thats for tuning to 33.7 hz. However, the picture of a box on the jl site http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_subs_enclusure.php?series_id=11 shows the port bending around the back of the box...

Well in my tiny truck thats just not an option. I understand that your drawing is not to scale but will you have enough box volume after the displacement of the sub and port? If so, I would say round the corners and give it a shot. Normally the sub and port shoould be on the same wall, can you do that?

It wont be possible to have the sub and port on same face... sadly.

I haven't done exact box calculations yet (cubic footage wise) But thats exactly what I plan on it looking like just maybe slightly wider, extended on the port side to make the 1.125 cubic feet, since the port takes up quite some space. However, I know I can make the requirement and have my amp mounted back there so thats why I wanted to try this.
