possible window damage?

so a few days ago i was telling a friend about upgrading my audio system.

the first thing he tells me is not to make a custom plexiglass enclosure or to put plexiglass anywhere near the subs. the reason being, is that it will "blow out my windows"

im planning on running roughly 3k rms. as long as i dont CRANK the gain or volume i should be fine

can somebody back me up with this? i believe hes just talking out of his ***

lol theres many here running more wattage and still have factory windows , i have a s10 extended cab running 4k and still have all factory windows ,

exactly!! though my windshield isnt in the best condition, its factory and still goes hard!only problems i have is the doors and trunk rattling along with the gas filler lid

the likely hood that you will have issues with your windows is very very very very minimal.....and that is being generous.

I had a guy tell me he could blow out his windows with just 2 12s... then I gave him a full tilt demo to show him what it really takes to explode a windshield. He pooped himself and took back his statement.

i plan on getting 2 pioneer TS-W3002D4 champion series, 2 pioneer TS-W2502D4 champion series. along with a couple sundown amps. this will all be going into a 1977 mercury cougar XR7
