unlike some of the other X subs in the RE line up, im pretty sure the RE REs got a new cone and remain the same. i had a single RE RE 8 in my cherokee for a few months off 300 watts, and it did OK, it lacked real bottem end but the box was a tad small and tuned a tad high so that really isnt fare. it did have some out put though. 4 of em should do allllll right

im eithe gonna go with 4 RE REx8s or 2 10" or 12" AQ sdc2.5 when they come back in stock or get them used.

I was a huge fan of Sundown E8's. I have played with DD1508's, E8s, im about to play with 2 L5 8"s, and am custom building two custom e8 (dual spider) TC2 based 8"s.

I've ran the old RE8s ported tuned to 32hz, 28hz and sealed.

2 tuned to 32hz was surprisingly loud and sounded great... a lot of lowend. 4 in 1.8 cubes tuned to 28hz was decent but tuned too low for them; I wanted a little more SQ but they're better suited for a higher tuning.

I put two in a .8 sealed box... meh. Much better suited for a ported box.
