[QUOTE="bamaster, post: 5850941, member: 604158"] I respect that opinion, but what other subs have you used? I think the 8W7 is a fantastic sub and while I haven't heard any other 8" in my car, I have a hard time believing that there are many that are much better. It gets loud and remains clean. I was looking for one sub that was efficient with 400 watts, sealed enclosure of around 1 cu ft, with a shallow depth, and at least the same output as the two 8"s. For what it's worth, I did consider the 12W7, but it weights about 20 lbs more than the Mag and $350 more. Price wasn't really a factor but mounting depth was... the JL needs 9.5" while the Mag needs 5.5". The only other sub I seriosly considered was the IDMax. I am so pleased with their CXS-64 components that I felt their sub would be great too. But the IDMax has similar issues as the 12W7. Another reason I went with the Mag is the online participation in these forums. Same reason I chose Sundown for my amps. Electrodynamic and Sundownz are easily available and I like supporting small businesses.
