remote start for a 2001 GMC jimmy sle

putting a remote start in a friend of mines jimmy is there anything special i need to no or do to do so???

yes but not on Chevy i don't know if he has the vats system theres not a chip in his key, i was just wondering if there are anything else i need to watch for

The Jimmy uses Passlock II.
