So I pulled out the JBL speakers out of my toyota highlander limited edition which run on a JBL factory amp and replaced it with components infinity PR-6500CS . Immediately I felt like I down graded. The sound was less loud and bass was weak. I had to raise the high eq settings and to increase tweeter highs. I now have highs and the mid's seem to lack depth. I'm wondering if the JBL amp is too weak for these components. The JBL speakers are 30 watts according to a forum from 2008 I ran into. The number for these speakers are 86160-0W110 . So what do you guys think? I do have an Earthquake amp Tremor TNT600 which is 4 channels and 600 watts. I wonder if it will enhance my components sound much more than this JBL amp. I also have coaxial infinity PR6502IS which I will install tommorrow on my rear doors. I have no specs on this JBL amp though . I am running a single 12'' L7 in a ported box and using a Alpine MX-M100 amp. The bass is rich and deep but these components seem to be very thin and clean , almost doesnt seem to go well together. Maybe I need to get used to it. Anyway, please give me tips , opinions , suggestions or any feedback is appreciated. thanks!!!

i noticed that stock speakers have more bass, i replaced all my speakers and don't get much bass either, but mine sounds a lot cleaner and clearer.

Same here, I lost bass but my highs are cleaner , its the mids / voice that sounds a bit thin. lacks depth.
Preping your doors /deadening should help gain some midbass back..There may also be that your existing speakers were 2ohm rather than 4ohm as well .Id do some research on the existing speakers ohms value, and the ohms value of the speakers you have installed. Its possible that this plays a big roll within the existing amps stability as well..

So I went ahead and added an old Earthquake TNT600 amp that I had laying around to my components and Coaxial. What a freakin difference!!! Night and day!!! It was alot of work but it paid off and then some!! I had that JBL premium system that came with the car with that L7 running as my bass and actually thought it was decent. Im glad I took the risk and upgraded I wish you all could hear my sounds now.
