$60 pre-paid phone from HTC. i too am an Apple user and this is just part of it. i'll gladly shell out the $60 for a dedicated device for this.

Sorry, didn't see your reply. But yes, no update or upgrade costs as it is a Google Play app that will be updated along the way and will update on your phone or tablet.

I have not used the SPL Labs piece yet to speak on it. But so far, from what I understand the differences are is price and interface.
