ok..i just ordered a sgp32 stinger isolator i was wondering how do you hook it hook??

the power wire from front to isolator and then from isolator to battery in trunk???

what are the small terminals on it ?? both grounds ?? and if so do they both have to be grounded??

and should this unit be closer to back battery or front battery?

I don't think the small terminals are grounds...

What does the isolator look like?

The multi-battery isolator contains several diodes,

mounted in a heat-sink.

(diodes are like one-way-valves for electric current.)

The dimensions are approximately 4" x 4".

It has 4 terminals.

No. 1 terminal is connected to the main battery.

No. 2 terminal goes to the second battery.

The A terminal goes to the alternator output.

The R the remote sensing terminal goes to the regulator.

Constant 12V+ Brown or Yellow or Light Green Ignition Switch Harness

Starter White/Pink Ignition Switch Harness

Ignition Brown/Pink Ignition Switch Harness

Ignition 2 Gray/Yellow Ignition Switch Harness

Ignition 3 Pink/Brown Ignition Switch Harness

Accessory Black/Light Green Ignition Switch Harness (AC/RUN)

which one is the true ignition power so i can tap into it to run to the isolator?

Whichever one that reads 12v only when the car is on. Get the DMM out and start searching!

Unless you have a diagram or something, ideally you'd want the wire that goes straight to the ignition.

that is the wire i am trying to find

i got all this for my car so..... i think brown, yellow,or light green are the ones but i guess i will have to check to see witch one comes on with the car and shuts off when i cut the car off correct? you do not want a constant power going to it at all times?

what you guys think about this one?here
That is about as good as you will find. The largest I could find in the diode based units was around 200A, like this one. What I did learn is that you can parallel them just like batteries if you need more than 200A of throughput.

Just an FYI though, you will see a small drop in voltage using this style of isolator, so the MLA adapter or an external regulator would be helpful to offset the voltage loss.

I just bought the stinger 1500. I watched a video on YouTube that there is an issue turning the gain all the way down using the amp, and you have...
