Wrong direction. Turn it facing to the trunk, 4-6 inches away from the trunk, youll gain output on both vehicles doing so. Jettas are better built than hondas plain and simple. Some cars can easily get louder than others.

If firing forward you really need to seal off from the trunk... Firing them backwards sound be louder and sound better loading off the trunk... Get a ported box and gain like 5db and have a smile on your face
