subwoofers + truck

I need to know the best way to make subwoofers loud in a truck. I know that trucks have a very small airspace and they don't have a trunk for the sound to reverberate off of, so how to do you make subwoofers louder in a truck?

The truck happens to be a 1995 Chevy extended cab, so the seats can be taken out.

I just want to know what type of box design, if any, can make the subwoofers seem louder in a small airspace. Do you buy small subwoofers or big ones? Any help is appriciated.

Thanks, Joe.

build a box under the seats, 3 or 4 sundown Sa-8's, dont worry about size its about sound any douche can roll around with an 18... run about 500rms each sub, not that you have to use it but youll have room to play, run ported box with good air space and youll be loud, so youll need 1500-2000 watt amp. can be found used here in classieds for about 200-400 depending on brand/quality. Sa-8's are around 100 a piece.

If it were me, I would remove the back seat and build a sixth order bandpass. Plot one with about a 10db peak between 40 and 50 hz. Find 2 subs with FS in this peak. Then power to their limits and rape.

It's common sense to NOT answer the question as it was asked? How does that make you the smart one. Don't be mad because you don't know how to design or build a 6th order. faggot

Like @maylar said, delay the turn on to the amplifier only. 3 to 5 seconds should take care of it.
