Tuning a trunk?

I have a single PA mofo154x in a 4.0cubicft box tuned to 33hz.

My car has a solid none folding back seat and it sounds bad with the metal behind the seat flexes.

My question is could i tune the trunk so air will be flowing out the ports and not trapped inside the trunk?

Would it help my spl and sq?

If it could be possible would i take the square footage of the trunk and subtrct the box and then figure my areo ports?

Sub box is built to where.. the sub faces upward and the port is out to the side.

I can only put the port towards the back seat. If i turn it around the port will not have enoigh space to backfire off of. And i cant push the sub back because of the height of the rear deck

Ill habe to take a pic tomorrow when it warms up again. But even with the way the sub is now the tail lights would rattle and the whole rear end will flex ... dont get me wrong i love flex but this is the annoying kind of flex.

And it did the same thing when i had a smaller box tuned to the same hz but the port was facing the quart panel.

What kind of car is it? Have you deadened the shit out of everything? I'm sure someone will pop in that had a similar problem. You might want to check back later though. It's a little late/early for traffic on here. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

You can either modify your rear seat to fold down, find another bonni at a bone yard and get yourself a rear seat that does fold and then adapt it into your bonni, or just simply cut some ports into your rear deck and then cover them with speaker grills... I've done this in a few old school GM builds and it did make a difference //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

SQ is subjective. If you're looking for the flattest possible response curve, usually sealed will give you that in a car. Porting is more...
