CDA-117, Don't love it, Don't hate it. tons of expandability, but without buying accesories, itis pretty useless, as far as I can find, there are no EQ options without adding an Imprint kit, does have great iPod controls and the best SQ I've had so far.

Mehhh eq gets me by actually... DAMM aux input adapter though... Really? WHY? I don't see the reasoning there unless it's just a money grab but I actually just ordered it so I can have Slacker in my truck when I want to hear it... No real use for bluetooth to me (unless via droid), but honestly without knowing for sure which would sound better (blutooth vs. aux) I'm gonna stick to the cheap route for now... unless someone can PM me info which I would be very grateful.

Currently, a demonically possessed Boss Audio AVA-2680R... The previous owners left it in the car, and it doesn't really work. It doesn't play any CD's, and I mean any. Tuner still works, sometimes... It tends to turn on randomly blasting the local country station... "94.9 Star Country"... For the record, I do not listen too country... At all...

Anyway, I'm currently looking into a replacement, though all the glowy lights in modern decks has me kind of stand offish. All I really want to replace it with is something I can plug an MP3 player into (and something that isn't possessed by the demons of country music past).

A Boss 612UA.

Everybody hates on it, but I don't mind because it does everything I need it to, and that is have an AUX port on it. Why pay $100 for that feature when I can get it for $50? (which is how much the deck is)

I like it. Others don't. Meh.

In this post: "I'll never understand what people are trying to tell me, not because I'm incapable, but because I don't want to."

Honestly, it's been explained to you over and over and over why Audiopipe is crap, and why your Boss head unit is crap. You don't want to listen; why?

I'm using a Pioneer right now. Upgrading to a Pioneer in the near future as well.

The only plausible explanation is that they'll crap out sooner than a regular deck.

Blah. My decks fine. If it craps out in a year, I will seriously think it will have done everything for what I payed.

I'm not worried about it crapping out. It was exposed to a short in my system when my subs were being installed, and I thought that it fried the deck, but it just blew a fuse.

I don't really understand why you care. Your running a better deck than me, so you shouldn't care!

Let me be content with my Boss deck. I love it! Its awesome! Woohoo!

Still have my 9887, going on 3 years in June or July. Only thing wrong is my next track button, Lord knows how many times it's been pushed. Just a little sticky but it still works fine. Great radio, won't get rid of it till it breaks.

That's not even a valid point from this side of the argument because you can get warranties for everything. Do you really think people pay several hundred dollars extra for reliability? Most electronics you buy will be fairly reliable, it's about the components each of these companies use, how their head units SOUND(it's actually very important; you obviously can't tell, but your head unit most likely makes your music sound like dookie), how good their internal amplifiers are(how soon they clip your signal). You may not know that you're sending a clipped signal to every single thing beyond your head unit, but it's happening. It's there, it's square, get used to it.

I'm only trying to help you out. I care because I don't like seeing ignorant people stay ignorant. What's wrong with that?
