Everytime someone creates a new thread here, they should have to hit an okay button 27 times to get past a giant search button that fills the screen before they can start typing. But then, if we didn't beat dead horses around here, the board would probably have like 3 new posts a day.

if you have it in an enclosure that doesnt have as high of pressure in side the box, you wont need much to reach mechanical limits..

ratings are thermal only for the mostpart

If an amp is rated for 600 watts at it's nominal load no matter how hard you clip it, you arn't going to get more then 800 watts out of it.... and at that point you will run into current clipping...

If you managed to drive the amp at 60% THD levels you might be able to increase the duty cycle of the signal enough to kill the sub...... but chances are the amp will blow up first......
