what is the tuning on this box

Looks like it's around 5ft^3 tuned in the 30hz area, but that port is insanely small. It probably won't even function properly once you get a ton of air moving through it with your 18" sub.

yeah i know ...this was a shop built box...most shops around here just build a box and make a hole the call a port ..no round corners anywhere

this.

your box is 5 cubes. the amount of port area should be between 12-16x your NET box size. that being said, your port should be anywheres between 60 and 80 sq. inches. The current port you have now is 18 sq. inches.

Iam getting 5.26 gross. 5.13 after port displacement.

That port for 5.13cuft tunes to about 30hz. (will chance a tad with the sub displacement)

(assuming these are internal measurements and the port wall is .75 thick.)

Here is the port/box calc that I use.

I just figured around 5ft^3 after sub displacement.

SQ is subjective. If you're looking for the flattest possible response curve, usually sealed will give you that in a car. Porting is more...
