I have an 83 camaro that i'm finishing up, and since i'm going to have a ton of hours and money into it, i figure i should get an alarm for it..

just got a few questions

1. the car has t-tops, so is there an alarm that will have something that will make it go off if someone pry's open one of the tops?

2. with glass breaks, if i put one on the hatch for example, is it only for the hatch, or do they work off sound where it would also cover the other windows.. or do i have to have a glass break on each window? in which case would i be able to have one on the t tops and still be able to take them off without unhooking anything?

3. if the alarm is able to go off if someone removes the t tops, what happens if i set the alarm with the tops already off?

so which alarms can do these things? i don't need remote start or keyless entry or anything just a basic alarm.. though a paging one would be nice so i can come out and kick the crap outta whoever is tryin to jack my ride..

thanks

-Bob

nice see another 3rd gen member I have a viper 791 and i was going to recommend that before i saw you didnt want a remote start another thing the back hatch is not the easiest thing to break it's like an inch thick. But I recommend anything from the dei faimly ie. viper, clifford, python and you can get glass sensors there like 15 bucks on ebay and it's just an add-on to the basic alarm.
