which is better

I stopped competing in 2005, but I was recently ask to come back out and do it again. my question is...which way would be better to run with 4 -12's in a wall. 1 amp (1 ohm stable) running all 4 (2 ohm load) or 1 amp to each sub wired in 2 ohm (each 2 ohm load)?

Define "better". Louder? Its all about the watts.

They're are bigger 1ohm amps than 2ohm but you can get 2 1ohm strap able amps and run 2ohm.
