Which setup to buy?

Hello all,

I am looking to upgrade my current subs and sub amp, on a budget. However, I can not decide between two setups...

SETUP 1:

2 x Pioneer TS-W3003D4 12" Subwoofers + 1000W Hifonics X1000.1D Amp

Which contains 2x Pioneer TS-W3003D4 12" Champion Pro Series 2000W Subwoofer

And 1x Hifonics X1000.1D Brutus X-14 1000W Class-D Monoblock Amplifier

SETUP 2:

1x Kenwood KAC-9106D Performance Series 1000W Class-D Monoblock Amplifier

My dilemma is this: Both setups are the same price in the end, $290. Setup 2 is 800 watts RMS, whereas setup 1 is about 1000 watts RMS at 1 ohm. However, I am wary of Hifonics and whether or not it could really (and safely) push 1000 watts RMS at 1 ohm. My sub box is the last one on this page Q-Logic Type 2 Subwoofer Enclosures. I don't have the thing to make it sealed though, so it's ported. Any advice?

Why do you say that? Better brand? More power?

That's a new and improved Champion Pro subwoofer for 2014. 26% more BL meaning it's a more powerful motor than the previous model.
