Your alt is what's going to keep your voltage up over 12V anyway, the battery, when the car is running, is just for reserves.

The voltages on my car (with car running) ranged from 13V down to 11.7 V depending what songs I was bumping. Sigh. I don't have an o-scope. I'm debating whether I should go buy one. Also, for you electrical engineers on here, should I buy a cheap one like this: http://www.tequipment.net/Velleman_HPS10SE.html ? I'm a JR Electrical/Computer Engineering student. I wouldn't need to own an expensive o-scope anyway right? Do you engineers on here own a good o-scope or do you just use the ones your company provides you with?
