What about quality? I chose the expensive W6's because they're efficient and are supposed to sound great. I wouldn't want to drive them with a low quality amp. Keep in mind I don't know much about Sundown, so please enlighten me.

I'm going to pick up a pair of 10W6V2s and I need a good amp for them. I like the JL G-Max but I've been told it's overrated for the price and I'm reading conflicting reports of whether or not it's 1-ohm stable. So now I'm looking into a Sundown SAE-1200 or a Hifonics BXi1210. What do you guys...

Alternators can provide much more power than you think. If you have a 4x75W RMS amplifier and a 1x400W RMS amplifier, that's 700W RMS. Let's assume the amps are only 80% efficient, so 560W RMS. Average output voltage of an alternator is 13.8V, so 560/13.8=40.5A. Considering that music signals...

Does it make sense to put a layer of Dynamat on the inside of the kickpanel? Or, for that matter, on the inside of a fiberglass sub enclosure? I'd like to make a pair of fiberglass enclosures for a 10" sub this spring. I'll have a layer of Dynamat covering my entire trunk, so would I need to...

Hey everyone .. I want to build two custom boxes, one to fit in each side of my trunk, right behind the taillights. It's kind of hard to see in this picture, but it's the best I have to show for now. If anyone in the North Jersey area has experience with this, hit me up.
