You head units internal amplifier puts out 22wrms x 4 I looked up the 4022's and they take, and i quote "power range: 2-35 watts RMS (105 watts peak power)" Im guessing the alphines take somwhere around 20-40 rms also. So if, you should be alright for time being. dont crank it up all the way...

buy a wiring harness for your car/model..it will allow you to connect your stock wiring to your new deck. its like 10 bucks at walmart. Yes..those panels simply pry off. Make sure you disconnect the negative battery terminal while your doing any kind of wiring. Gluck!

From what i've read on these forums, the type r's take alot of power. anywhere from 1000 to 1300 watts each for a 12". You can get something like db-500 12" or a mach 5 maw12 the maw12 is only like $60. and takes around 350-400 watts @ 4 or 1 ohm

I will post a video of my 2 maw12's in a sealed box in a few days. Its my first setup everrrr. took me a while to get it all working and im happy overall. They wang pretty **** hard, and they only cost me $140 shipped.

d.amn..I got sparks when i tried to reconnect the negative terminal onto the battery. Is this normal? My car goes into protection mode or something...it will start honking and stuff on its on. It scares me...but I think I was connecting it in the right sequence. Unpluggd the negative...
