I am in no hurry to get rid of this laptop lol I might just put Ubuntu on it and give it to my son, I don't need to sell it and it would be super fast with Ubuntu on it even with 1GB of ram, only thing it needs is a battery and that's like $30 or $40 shipped on ebay.. LoL So no longer for sale...

It works good, would be a little faster I think on the 32 bit or windows xp is way faster.. Ok the bottom has this.. product: HP dv8000 S/N: CND5512R7T p/n: EP406UA#ABA DV8000 is the model number for sure its on the tag on the back and on the monitor on the front.. lol

64bit CPU I just tested it out, I can install 32bit if someone wants or XP or linux ( but I have not tested linux on it but should work fine. )

HP Pavilion dv8000 Review (pics, specs) DV8000 is the model number... It has the 2nd HD upgrade and fastest CPU they offered in that version, ram has not been upgraded it just has the 1GB it can go to 2GB.

If I remember right it was only like 6k so not much...
