So considering a few subs...under 275 bucks - 2cu or so sealed - gonna be powered with a CAB 22, overkill yes but preparing for more later lol
DC level 2 15 - 240 bucks
Crescendo Forte 15 - 270 bucks
B2 Entry level 15 - 260 bucks
Anything else I should consider? Going in trunk set up.

I didn't know DC made a lvl 2 15. All the other subs would recommend more than 2 cubes sealed.

I think your best bet would be a Dayton audio HO 15.

I would go smaller subwoofer ported personally. Dayton MX 12 ported would be my choice.

x2.

I wouldn't put most DC's in sealed personally. The resonance you get from small box sealed woofers tends to be too high for my tastes. Like dudes who put their 15's in 1 or 1.5 cubes sealed and wonder why the have no lows in a 4th order lol. Idk, maybe I'm just particular. Sealed boxes are only good when there's ports involved somewhere else lol :geek: 😁

I would do a small box 12 ported, if I could fit it in that space. I would expect it to be quite a bit louder, on the same power, and you will have more lows, if the woofer allows it, and the box is proper.

That would be a function of the harness, not the HU, I think. Have you looked into a Maestro or iData interface? i would check with crutchfield...

thanks DB, that definitely helps swallowing a $300 price tag 😂 these would essentially be running midbass for me too

What is your budget? With being exposed to Rain.. I would recommend looking at a marine grade SAS Bazooka for the sub stage
