4 18s in a wall, 94 astro

so i have a complete build log here for you to check out i hope i did it right.

94 astro

4 18's, konoki based motor with 12 spoke basket (STEVE made)

1 kenetics 2400 under the hood

5 135amphr powerware cells in the rear

1 200A external voltage adjustable regulator 8 to 20V

2 runs of 4/0 directly from the alt to the back cells. NO FUSES ANYWHERE.

kenwood excelon HU

1 maxxlink

1 10way optidrive electronic crossover

4 set 5.25 mb quartz mids and tweets for rear fill

7 sets of 6.5 mb quartz mids and tweets in front doors

1 set of 6.5 mb quartz mids and tweets in the dash

1 mb quartz dicuss dsc4125 to the 4 sets of 5.25.s and tweets

3 mb quartz dicuss dsc4125 to ther front 8 sets of 6.5s and tweets

1 hifonics goliath xx is in opperation right now, have bought 3 others and waiting for the repair shops to get em back.

so 4 xx goliaths, one to each sub

or

im selling em all and getting 2 sd12k

and 7 more batts this winter for a total of 12.

the box will be made outta 2 layers of 1 inch and in seperate boxes, making them more sturdy. 15 cubes each box with port, tuned to 27 hz

when you got all your stuff hooked up right you dont experience that kinda problems.

lets take a good look at the logic here:

most big amps dont come with fuses right?

and your running 2 runs of 0 or 2/0 directly to your amps and your gonna conveniently take that girth down to a hair of soldier.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

check your decibles with and without the fuses. you will gain 2 db without em because your amp is getting the full juice it needs. but if you have doubts about your ability to wire than yah fuses are for you.

so far this van has done a 153.9 on one amp at .25 ohms

and done a 155.2 legal with 2 amps and the 2nd amp was smoking and at 25% power

and did a 156.3 outlaw and the 2nd amp popped.

43hz is the sweetspot so far. i cant wait to get one of my repaired goliaths back from ampjunkielikeme. then i will test and test and find out what the van can do.

Have you tested this before? I have my power fused and its only a short run in the trunk... Seems stupid having it fused now that I think about it.
